Surprise Surprise!! How many were expecting the snow today? With 60 degree weather yesterday we were not expecting weather like this... Was your vehicle prepared?
Make sure to keep up on your wiper blades, especially in Colorado. Wiper blades are a huge part of keeping you and your vehicle safe. On the same note, make sure your windshield wiper solvent is always full. Keeping up on these two parts is regular maintenance that should not be forgotten.
You should always check your tires, if you stick a penny upside down between your tread and can see the top of the head or below the head you should replace your tires. Tires will help significantly while driving in snow.
While John & I were driving to work this morning we both noticed the same situation... Please be courteous and don't follow too close to the car in front of you. In any weather condition this is something that I notice constantly and in snow can result in a serious accident.

Randy's Auto Show
Randy began his radio career in 2001 as a guest automotive expert on the KEZW show. In October 2009, Randy became the host, renaming it Randy's Auto Show.
Listeners call in with questions on vehicle repairs and problems. "I'm doing it to help people," Randy said. "This is my help line to people." You can hear Randy live every Saturday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on KEZW 1430 AM.
Every Monday following the Radio Show Randy's AutoCare will do a recap post to go over everything mentioned on the Auto Show. On this note, below is the recap from the show on Saturday, January 7.

It is important to stay up-to-date with regular oil changes and vehicle maintenance. Each manufacturer has different recommended services at different mileage intervals. When it comes to your vehicles battery life most batteries seem to fail after 4-5 years of service. To help get the most life out of your battery keep it in a good state of charge. After batteries go dead sometimes they do not come back to life! Make sure you are turning your lights off and not letting your vehicle sit for long periods of time.
